PERSONAL GEOGRAPHIES

10.17.24 - 11.08.24

Personal Geographies at the Andrew Freedman Home is, for me, a gateway to collective imaginaries. This edition celebrates the work of eleventh Latinx artists whose practices span painting, sculpture, social practice, installation, and botany. Their works document overlapping spaces and interpret the palimpsest of memory and place. Through various surfaces, modules, and materials, these artists map complex territorial relationships, embracing both site-specificity and transnationalism.

This exhibition invites viewers to witness the intricate weaving of personal and geographic histories, inspiring new ways to see and engage with the landscapes we inhabit.
