The Andrew Freedman Home (AFH) is a hub for independent film, storytelling, and visual media, offering a dynamic space for filmmakers, artists, and the Bronx community to engage in film screenings, workshops, and creative collaborations.
Bronx Frame
Bronx Frame is the film and moving-image exhibition and public programming initiative of the historic Andrew Freedman Home in the Bronx. Dedicated to amplifying Bronx storytellers across generations, Bronx Frame partners with film curators and programmers to present screenings, community-centered programs, artist talks, and hands-on workshops that expand access to cinema and media arts within the borough.
Each spring and fall, the Bronx Frame Screening Series showcases a dynamic mix of experimental, documentary, and narrative films which amplify the voices of both Bronx-based and global creators. Past partners include the New York Latino Film Festival, The Bronx Filmmakers Collective, Bronx World Film, Non Films, BX Writers, Between Las Líneas, Queens World Film Festival, Bronx Independent Cinema Center, One Man Army, Blank Roll, Soft Sticks, Plumbum, Cinema on the Sound, Baby Teeth Film Festival and the Trans Film Collective.

Workshops and Educational Programs
AFH is partnering with The Bronx Filmmakers Collective (TBxF) in its dedication to nurture emerging filmmakers through hands-on workshops in filmmaking, editing, sound design, and podcasting. These programs will provide access to industry professionals, mentorship, and opportunities to create and showcase new work. Workshops will be open to artists, students, and community members looking to develop their skills in storytelling and media production.

Bronx Voyeurs
Bronx Voyeurs is a dynamic video art initiative that transforms the windows of the Andrew Freedman Home into a public exhibition space for experimental and thought-provoking short films and videos. Originally launched in 2016 by Walter Puryear and Benton C. Bainbridge, this project continues to evolve as a platform for innovative storytelling. Bronx Voyeurs provides both emerging and established artists and filmmakers with a unique opportunity to share their work with a broader audience, celebrating creativity, innovation, and the power of the moving image.
